Hands-on, fun learning with multiplying binomials(FOIL)! Keep your students engaged with these fun activities while they’re practicing multiplying binomials. This product includes 2 activities – 1) a “create your own” binomial expression practice where students build dice and then roll a pair of dice to create expressions that must be simplified and 2) a game board where students roll a pair of regular dice and complete a problem on a game board that corresponds to the numbers they rolled. The first person to get 6 in a row wins(other variation suggestions are included in the directions as well)!
The “build-a-dice” come with several levels of differentiation. There are 2 “coefficient of 1” dice and 2 “coefficients greater than 1” dice. These different levels allow you to differentiate easily among your students as needed.
The 6-in-a-row game board comes with 3 levels for easy differentiation. The easiest level has only positive numbers and a coefficient of 1 for the variables. The middle level still has a coefficients of 1, but has some positives and negatives for the numerical terms. The highest level has both coefficients of 1 or greater as well as positives and negatives for the numerical terms. This also allows for differentiation from group to group with no extra work on your part!
