This Ticket-out-the-door serves as a quick, 5-minute assessment at the end of the lesson on Multiplying Decimals. Students must be able to thoroughly explain their answer* for the first problem. Students must show their work and solve for the second problem.
Directions for teachers:
1. Print out document (both tickets on sheet are identical)
2. Make 1/2 the copies as the amount of students in the class
3. Cut all copies in half to create half-sheet tickets
4. Use before recess, lunch, or the end of the day
*Acceptable answers for #1 should not include the fact that "one has a 'ths'" or "one is bigger than the other". Ask students to specify using your own judgement for acceptable answers.
