In this power point presentation, I guide students through the steps in finding patterns when multiplying decimals by powers of ten. I give examples, guided practice, and also an opportunity for students to try out some practice on their own. An answer key is provided for the page that students complete on their own. A couple of the slides I have adjusted for printing purposes. I use these slides as handouts to the students. I have the students complete these handouts while we go over the power point together. Then, I give the "your turn now" page to my students for independent practice to see what they understand at the end of the lesson. I used a magical theme for this power point because I am using it during my Harry Potter theme week!
