Product Description
This is a very simple worksheet which also requires giving the students access to some recipes. I brought cookbooks in from the school library, but recipe printouts would also work.

Students list the ingredients for the recipe and then they have to write what half of each ingredient would be. If the ingredient is an even whole number, like two eggs, it is easy. Otherwise, I told them to multiply by 1/2 (after we taught the lesson in class). It was beneficial practice, and good real life application of why we learn that particular skill.

I used it once as a group activity during math time, and then it became an activity that students could do for class dollars during free time.
