Description
Tech Time is a digital activity/game for 5th or 6th grade math students to compete with each other while practicing multiplying fractions. It's simple to use and takes very little prep. Just give them the link and they can do the rest! Great for early finishers, extra practice, small-groups, intervention, or just bringing excitement and joy into your classroom.

What exactly is Tech Time?
Tech Time is an interactive game (Powerpoint/Google Slide) that allows teachers to use in a variety of ways to review key concepts and skills. “Tech” is my dog who has a wide-ranging level of emotions and facial expressions. Students can be grouped together or compete individually to earn or lose points to win the game.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
⭐ PowerPoint or Google Slides Link (to give students)
⭐ Whiteboard, Dry Erase Markers, Erasers (for each person/team)
- You can also use notebook paper
⭐ Scoring sheet (to keep track of points)
TECH TIME RULES:
⭐ Decide to play 1 vs 1 or in teams (I prefer 1 vs 1)
⭐ Students answer questions on PowerPoint/Google Slide and select a number 1-13
⭐ Players who answer correctly choose the number of the "Tech Head" they wrote down
⭐ Most "Tech Heads" add points to their score; however, some "Tech Head's" deduct points.
⭐ Continue game until all questions have been answered (20 questions- numerical, word).
⭐ The player/team with the most points wins.
This resource can be used for in-person learning or as a digital resource in the classroom. Use in a variety of ways, as a whole-class game with teams or small-groups/individuals doing battle one-on-one.
This PowerPoint (which can be uploaded and used in Google Slides) will motivate your students by allowing them to compete with each other to earn points and win the game! Tech Time will leave your students wanting to play more!
