This is a review (self check). I use it as an "around the world" game. I copy the multiplication cards on colored paper and hang them around room. Students walk around the room solving the problems and recording the letter that corresponds with the number on their paper. Once they have answered all of the cards, they will return to their seats and write the letters in order to get the answer to the joke. If it does not make sense, then they made an error and need to go back to figure out where their error is.
This can also be used as a homework or class work assignment without having to cut out the pieces, or it can be used as a center.
This activity works well immediately following a mini lesson on how to multiply integers.
