It consists of 12 separate pages each with 4 different expressions to simplify. All four are carefully created to look very different at first, but with simplification three of the four expressions are identical, or equivalent
, in value while the fourth one is different. The fourth appears to be similar only if the student makes a mistake in simplification. The approach taken helps students to further develop their understanding of the title topic and the rules that apply. It also strives to build the base math skill of recognizing equivalence

The original concept was conceived to allow large groups to play all at once, such as an entire class. But, it also comes in printable Task Cards or Worksheets w/answer keys for smaller groups or as supplementary/extension materials for individuals at any point on the ability continuum. Finally, a pdf student response sheet, useful for all of the above mentioned formats is included. By design, this invaluable resource provides the flexibility you need so that it can be used in almost every classroom situation with almost every level of skill.
