This puzzle is a great way for Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2 students to practice the challenges / special cases in multiplying polynomials:
- Conjugates (Difference of Squares)
- Squared Binomials
- A Binomial times a Trinomial
- A Monomial times a Trionomial
- Area Applications
I always use boxes to teach students how to multiply polynomials. A good alternative to FOIL, students can apply boxes to any number of terms.
