Product Description

Purposefully selecting work for your students to complete independently allows for each and every moment of their lesson to matter!

Provided in this resource are 2 worksheets where students are multiplying two, three, and four digits by a one digit factor. Each problem involves regrouping!

Differentiation is what makes every lesson matter. On page 1 students have 3 problems which are to be solved using three strategies, area model, partial quotients, and then standard algorithm. Area model and partial quotients help students make place value connections which are crucial to their success with standard algorithm! Following the 3 initial problems, there are 6 more allowing the students to select the strategy of their choice.

Page 2 provides 12 practice problems where they are asked to solve to determine the product. Any strategy could be applied on this page!

Suggestions for usage:

Print these two pages front to back, depending on informal assessments in your classroom assign students to work on one of the two sides.

Pull a small group who are struggling and work through the first 3 problems helping them to make place value connections before encouraging them to finish the remaining 6 independently using the strategy of their choice.
