Multiplication Bump Bundle
A very popular and fun game my students can never get enough of is Bump. Here is a bump game for practicing just their x6 facts. I suggest having students say their facts out loud to get the best practice.
The game can be played with a 6 sided or 10 sided die. There is a different game board for each type of die.
1 six sided die or 10 sided die
10 unifix cubes of one color, per player
1 copy of the game board for the die being used
Player 1 rolls the die and multiplies that number by 6. They put one of their unifix cubes on that space to cover the number.
Now it is Player 2 does the same. If Player 1 already has a unifix cube on the number Player 2 may choose to “bump” off Player 1. When this happens Player 1 takes back their unifix cube.
If a player rolls a number that they already have covered they can put a second unifix cube on the space to “freeze” it. When a space is frozen they can not be bumped off of it any more.
They player who has all 10 of their unifix cubes on the game board first wins.
This game can be played the same way wit more than 2 players, however it then gets more difficult to play all 10 unifix cubes.
