Here's a fun way for your students to practice addition! This set comes with 5 sets of 30 cards each. These versatile cards can be used 3 ways. They can be used as task cards or a game of Scoot. You can also add in the “new friend” cards and directions to make an engaging card game!
This product is already differentiated! It has the following sets of cards:
Set 1: addition problems with sums of less than 20
Set 2: adding 10 to 10, 20, 30, etc. and other 2-digit numbers
Set 3: adding one-digit numbers to two-digit numbers
Set 4: adding 2 two-digit numbers (without regrouping)
Set 5: adding 2 two-digit numbers (with regrouping)
Answer sheets are also included for each set. They can be laminated so that students can easily self-check. The set also comes with recording sheets for use in centers or for Scoot!
This product addresses the following Common Core* math standards for first and second grade:
1.OA.B.3 Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract.
1.OA.C.5 Relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 2 to add 2).
1.OA.C.6 Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10.
1.OA.D.8 Determine the unknown whole number in an addition or subtraction equation relating three whole numbers.
1.NBT.C.4 Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number, and adding a two-digit number and a multiple of 10
1.NBT.C.5 Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.
2.OA.B.2 Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.
2.NBT.B.5 Fluently add and subtract within 100 using strategies based on place value.
2.NBT.B.6 Add up to four two-digit numbers using strategies based on place value and properties of operations.
