This multisensory learning activity helps students to learn their letter names and letter sounds. Multisensory learning allows us to activate different parts of the brain and it increases the likelihood that our students will retain information!
This resource included both upper and lowercase letters A-Z, in full page and half page sizes. This activity can activate the senses to assist students in learning their letters in the following ways:
Visual: Each letter is large and clear and shows standard formation. Both uppercase and lowercase letters are included.
Kinesthetic: Students can use a toy car to trace the shape of the large letters, and/or they can use their finger to trace the smaller letter cards.
Auditory: Students should be repeating the name and sound of the letter over and over (and the keyword if your curriculum has them!) as they trace.
Tactile: For a tactile component, put glue along the yellow dotted lines on either the large or the small letter cards and allow to dry, then students can trace and follow the hardened glue line to feel the shape of the letter.
