This lesson is an introduction to three-dimensional geometry for a Multivariable Calculus class. There are plenty of exercises and visuals to help students get a grasp on three-dimensional space. Also, the three-dimensional distance formula is derived and applications of it are explored.
This lesson is meant as an introduction to Multivariable Calculus, but it could be used in Geometry as part of a unit on three-dimensional geometry. No calculus is introduced in this lesson. Another option is to use it after AP Calculus exams have finished.
