Muncha! Muncha! Muncha! by Candace Fleming / Reading Wonders Aligned
This is a super cute book filled with onamonapias and size words.
**Synopsis: Mr. McGreely finally planted his own garden that he has been dreaming about for years. Late at night, 3 naughty bunnies come to eat his plants. Mr. McGreely must come up with different, bigger and better ways to keep those pesky bunnies out!
I use this literacy and language lesson plan with my Kindergarten students as a supplement for McGraw-Hill Reading Wonders Unit 5 Week 1. It goes along with the essential question, "What do living things need to grow?" AND the category of "size words" as well. **BUT you could also use this book anytime---especially in the Spring time!!
-Vocabulary pre-test and post-test data sheet
-Comprehension questions and answers
-3 vocabulary words, definitions, and model sentences (All words are ALSO taught in the K McGraw-Hill Reading Wonders curriculum)

-Pictures to use for sequencing cues during retell
