This is EXCERPTED from the LEOPOLD & LOEB presentation:

This covers in full text and visual the crime committed by Leopold and Loeb in 1924 Chicago. The two young men lived in the affluent Kenwood neighborhood on Chicago's South Side, only two blocks apart. They got to know one another well at the University of Chicago where they discovered a mutual interest in crime. They wanted to be Supermen, as in the German philosophy books they read, so decided to commit the perfect crime. They killed 14 year old Bobby Franks. Their families were wealthy and hired Clarence Darrow to defend them.

This is EXCERPTED from the FATTY ARBUCKLE presentation:

Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle was a silent film actor, comedian, director, and writer in the 1910s. He starred opposite Mabel Normand and Harold Lloyd. He helped Charlie Chaplin and discovered Buster Keaton and Bob Hope. His contract in 1921 with Paramount Pictures paid him one million dollars.

His infamous trials made up Hollywood's first official big time scandal in 1921-1922. Arbuckle was prosecuted for a young women's rape and accidentally killing her. William Randolph Hearst simultaneously “tried” Arbuckle in his newspapers with the most lurid and sensational coverage. Arbuckle had two hung juries and was acquitted in the third trial.

This is EXCERPTED from the LANA TURNER presentation:

Lana Turner was gorgeous and a huge movie star. But by the time she met Johnny Stompanato these glory days were years behind her. Their romance was in 1958. She was still working but she was an older woman and he was her younger lover. She also had a teenage daughter, 14, Cheryl Crane.

No one knows the truth about what happened in 1958. Lana had a very stormy romance with Johnny. One night Johnny ended up dead, stabbed in vital parts of his chest. Lana and Cheryl both claimed Cheryl had done it but a 14 year old girl taking on a 32 year old former Marine and gangster with a knife took some doing. In short, everyone suspected that Lana had stabbed and killed Johnny and Cheryl was taking the fall for it.
