This is a 5-page Word document that can be used two ways - either as an introduction to human body musculature or as a review toward the end of the unit. It is in a format that I love to use - the student reads a few paragraphs, then answers a few questions about the reading; reads more paragraphs, answers more questions. There are a ton of fun facts and colorful pictures in the assignment to keep the student engaged and interested in the content. The KEY is included.
This assignment is used on the computer with a drop box such as Blackboard or School Space. It can be quickly and easily converted into a printable paper copy by simply removing the asterisks and adding lines for the students to write their answers instead of typing them. I use this format often so that we can save paper by using electronic copies of assignments. However, students have no problem adding their answers next to the asterisks if this were to be printed as a paper copy with no modifications. I use it like this for the absent students that need to complete the assignment for homework. The font is large enough and leaves room for handwritten answers without removing the asterisks or adding lines.
If this is used as an electronic student copy, the student answers the questions by placing the cursor between the red asterisks and begins typing the answer - that way they can easily see that they've answered the question and I can easily grade the assignment by reading what they've typed in red. Their completed work will look much like your answer KEY if done correctly! I love technology!
If you prefer to add lines for the students to answer the questions on a paper copy, simply remove the red asterisks and add lines in their place. This doesn't take too long and is super simple to do to make it 'yours'.
