Lengthy 3-part lab for 2 class days! Emphasizes active learning and creative thinking and provides experience with microscope and graph usage.
This lab provides a very thorough introduction to the Human Muscular System! In three parts, students are asked to use microscopes to view and answer questions about the types of muscle tissue; to observe their classmates' muscles in action and to record observations about the movement (later using their observations to create hypotheses), and to observe, record data, create graphs about, and make hypotheses about muscle fatigue.
This lab is not boring and will get students moving and excited about the muscular system! Please download my preview to see the complete lab. I hope you enjoy it and as always, please don't forget to rate!
This lab should be completed in two class periods, but could be completed in one class period if you are rushed.
