This is a project that I have the students complete at the end of our unit on human musculature. The Rubric is included. It is a foldable that covers 11 of the major muscle groups. Using 6 different colored pieces of construction paper, line them up so that they are staggered by about 3/4" on the short ends. Then fold over the top pieces to meet the bottom pieces which then creates 12 different colored tabs. Put four staples in the top and cut in half right down the middle so that you can actually get two foldables out of one set of the construction paper line up. The top tab is for the title "Muscles". Each additional tab (there will be 11) are for the individual muscles. Criteria such as location, function and an interesting fact must be included under each tab. I allow the students to spend three 50-minute class periods on this project. They can use the internet to research additional information. This is a fun project that the student love!
