This assignment brings the field trip to your classroom! Students are placed into themed groups and choose an artifact to research, re-create, and label as if they're a museum curator. On the day the assignment is due, students bring their artifacts to class, work with their group members to set up their exhibit, and then tour the museum created by their classmates. Includes instructions, rubric, exemplar, resources/tips, self-assessment survey, and artifact analysis worksheet. Uses principles of cooperative learning and provide opportunities for assessment OF and AS learning. Originally intended for use in CHY4U - The West and the World, but could be adapted for most high school history classes!
