This lesson can work at any museum (even a teacher-created one). It guides the students through galleries with careful questions.Students must use their own interpretations of artwork and inferencing to write their own mystery story.
I like to use this lesson after completing a mystery novel such as The Westing Game or From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. The kids love exploring the museum with a purpose and "secret mission." I love how easy it is to copy these pages for the kids to complete in a real-world environment.
Have fun with it!! I sure did.
