Pg. 3-5 Vocabulary in Context – Copy pages A and B back to back, fold on the solid lines, cut on the dotted lines, Illustrate and write a sentence for each vocab word
Pg. 6 Use It! – use your vocabulary words in a paragraph or short story
Pg. 7-8 Roll and Spell – roll the dice to see what you will use to write your spelling words, marker, crayon, colored pencil, pen, pencil, or your choice – write each spelling word three times
Pg. 9-11 My Comprehension Flip It! – copy pages A and B back to back, fold on the solid line, cut on the dotted lines and fill out
Pg. 12-17 If I had a museum… a craft and writing activity- take a piece of large construction paper and fold it while wide so that it forms doors/flaps – copy patterns onto appropriate colored paper - attach windows, doors and sign – cut the doors and signs in two and glue on either side of the flaps – attach writing inside with staples – if there is more than one writing page – attach with two staples at the top – see example
Pg. 18-22 Fact and Opinion at the Museum – copy pages A and B back to back – attach doors by gluing the sides then cutting down the middle – write one fact and one opinion about each museum
Pg. 23-25 Possessive Pronouns – copy pages A and B back to back, fold on the solid lines and cut on the dotted line – make a list of the different pronouns – choose 3 of each type to use in a sentence
Pg. 26 Prefixes - Write the meaning of the prefixes – write examples of words with those prefixes – choose a word for each prefix and use it in a sentence
Pg. 27 Write a letter to a community leader or a school leader about our trash problems – tell them your opinion on what can be done about it
Pg. 28-30 Museum Brochure – create a brochure for a museum – copy pages A and B back to back – fold like a brochure – write the title and illustrate the cover and fill in the information
