This simple listening log can be used to track daily music class listening examples. I start each class with a listening exercise where students copy down the name of the selected piece, composer, genre, and then must write down two things they hear that make the piece stand out or memorable. They should use musical language which is posted around the room to assist in this task. This sheet helps keep students organized and on task during this warm up period in the beginning of class. I also use this sheet to assist students in completing an open notebook quiz to ensure students are completing their daily warm ups.
When printing you may need to select 'fit' or 'shrink pages' to ensure the entire diagram fits on the page.
