Music Color Cube - Note Identification

What educators are saying
Description
There is a school in Nashville, TN that speaks 38 different languages. In an effort to help a friend have activities that would bring children together through music, the Music Color Cube was born.
There is a digital color cube in the file so that the game can be played. If you would like one of the plush music cubes, please go to www.darleneabbott.net to order.
The cards of this game contain notes. The quarter note has six different cards and is in six different colors. On each card is the "color" word in eight different languages.
The notes included in this game are:
- Quarter Note
- Quarter Rest
- Eighth Notes
- Half Note
- Dotted Half Note
- Whole Note
Children will recognize the color word from a language they are familiar with. If you do not have many languages spoken in your school this is a great exposure to the diversity of languages in our world. But also a great lesson that "music" is a universal language.
Another advantage to the music color cube is that other digital editions such the Classroom Instrument Edition are also available.
