I use Exit Tickets at the end of music class to gauge student understanding and for a quick assessment. Some teachers use these at the beginning of class as a "bell ringer" activity. You could grade the slips of paper, or just use them as an easy way to find out what students really understood during the lesson. Sometimes, the Exit Tickets show me that I need to review certain concepts, or that students completely understood and that lesson was too easy.
