Practice reading notes on the grand staff and matching those notes to the correct keys on the piano! This game includes a game board, two game pieces, and music note cards.
Players will take turns drawing music note cards. The player will correctly name the note and then move their mouse up or down the elevator floors to the corresponding piano key. If a player’s mouse lands on floor 1, 4, 7, 10, 12 (bass clef to blue room, treble clef to bedroom), 15, 18, or 21, the player may move their mouse into the hotel room on that floor and receive a free pass on their next turn. There is no winner to this game; it’s designed to practice reading notes and locating them on the corresponding piano keys!
1) Omit the music note cards and play high and low notes on the piano and have players move their game pieces to the upper floors when high notes are played and to the lower floors when the low notes are played.
2) Name a letter from the music alphabet and ask the players to find the corresponding key on the piano diagram located on the left side of the hotel. Specify whether that key is high or low and have the players move the mice accordingly.
