Looking for a simple but effective lesson? Bate Bate Chocolate is the way to go in your elementary class! It is a simple Mexican folk chant with tons of different potential lessons. Use this in your classroom to get students talking, moving, composing, reading rhythms, and playing instruments!
This product gives you a few ideas, as well as pages to show students the words and rhythm. It also includes two different worksheets-- one for a body percussion composition and one for writing down the rhythm to the chant (easy assessment!).
And as always, everything is available in both regular notation and stick notation for the Kodaly and Orff inspired elementary music teacher.
