Music Lesson Plans EYLF for Kindergarten

This digital download / printable contains 40 lessons for kindergarten music.
The lesson plans are a simplified version of my Kindaria music program for kindergarten, available as an alternative collection on TPT Kindergarten Music Program - 40 Lesson Plans - Kindaria - Australian Version (teacherspayteachers.com) or as single lesson plans labelled Kindaria [*If you have purchased Kindaria, you will not need to purchase this lesson plan].
The Kindaria lessons must be followed in sequence, however this collection of lesson plans can be used in any order to fit with the school calendar, special days, etc, or used to compliment an already existing music program. This version is tailored to the EYLF – Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. To use the Kindergarten Music Lesson Plans, simply download and follow the required lesson plan. Songs and theoretical content can be easily accessed via Google and YouTube, and resources are those typically used in kindergartens and early childhood settings.
The Music Lesson Plans are based on singing, as songs provide foundational music learning for young children, enabling them to understand melody, pitch and rhythm. Learning songs also assists with developing language and literacy skills in readiness for school.
The children will learn a new song every week, resulting in them acquiring a repertoire of 40 songs by the completion of the program / the completion of the kindergarten year.
The children will learn about a wide variety of musical concepts including:

Music notation
Song-writing
Instruments
They will be exposed to a wide variety of musical styles including:
Children’s music
Choir music
World music
Australian music

Jazz
Music theatre

They will learn about ways of moving to / engaging with music, including:

Free self-expression
Interpretive dance
Cultural dance
Performing for an audience
They will explore holistic /artistic / learning concepts such as:
Recollection and memory
Emotional representations in music
Visual representations of music
Diversity – sign language (AUSLAN)
Extension Experiences and Additional Ideas have been included. These relate to the learning in the lessons, and include:
Dramatic play
Art and craft experiences
Cultural experiences
Cooking
