Music Listening Journals
Please note: This file includes the same pages as Music In Our Schools Month Listening Journals
Want to get your students listening to wide variety of music?
Students listen to a piece of music and write the year it was composed, country it is from, three words to describe it, circle whether or not they liked it, and draw how it makes them feel. This set includes blank templates where you can select any piece you would like as well as 28 pages with 56 song titles and composers (or performers) listed.
The titles of pieces I have chosen to include are some I am going to try with my own students. They are from lots of different time periods and styles. I did include the blanks though because there can never be an all inclusive list and I didn't want you to feel limited by what I came up with.
I have included two different title pages for you to use with your students. One says "Music Listening Journal"so that it can be used year round and one says "Music In Our Schools Month" in case you would like to use it as a special thing during the month of March.
The musical examples are not included in this collection, but you can find any of the songs I have suggested on iTunes or YouTube. You probably have lots of recordings in your own music library.
