These cards are great for a quick check in, taking initial notes to prompt discussion, or even measuring student listening preferences through diverse musical examples.
Compare two listening examples, with number 1 on the left and number 2 on the right. Students should circle the appropriate tempo & dynamic, and write in the tone color or timbre. Then, ask them to circle their favorite.
If you are looking for a starting point to measure student understanding of tempo, dynamics, timbre, and preference, these are a great place to start!
