I created this powerpoint presentation that was used as the basic material of "The Art of Listening" course that I taught last year (2013) in a private music school for adults, which was a supplementary course included in the Music Education syllabi. The goal of this course is to examine the 'Music Listening Process" exploring various aspects of fields related to music (music sociology, music psychology, auditory basics, room acoustics, psychoacoustics, etc) and this is achieved by providing the students with the necessary theoretical framework of music listening, along with some useful practical suggestions for becoming more ‘active’ listeners.
This package is ideal for academic use, although it could also be used in Higher Education under certain circumstances.
It contains 14 lectures (sections) organized in 127 slides. No worksheets or exercises available.
