The reproducibles included in this package are Super Singer Cards, Star Report Cards, and Stars.
Super Singer Cards
Give these cards to students who sing alone in music class. I had the Super Singer Cards precut in a basket on a counter where students could get their own card. I also had a bulletin board where I put the names of Super Singers. For this, I had precut shapes and markers in baskets on the counter, and the Super Singers would write their own names on a shape and place the shape in a basket for me to put on the board during my conference time.
Print 8-10 stars on stiff paper and put a magnet on the back so that they will stick to a magnetic white board. Classes start with 3 stars at the beginning of each class. Add stars for good behavior, remove stars for inappropriate behavior. If the class received 7 stars, I gave each student a sticker as they left the room. If the class earned 10 stars, I took a picture of the class that I hung on a bulletin board in my room. I also gave the pictures to the classroom teacher with a note to the class about how proud I was of them. Many teachers hung these in the font of their rooms or on their classroom doors.
Give a Star Report to each class at the end of the class period. Write the teacher name, the date, and circle the number of stars the class earned. This allows teachers to reinforce your expectations for behavior in the music classroom.
