Turn your students into bona fide adventurers with this fun rhythm review activity! To rock climb, simply print and cut out the colourful “rocks," then lay them on the floor to create a dense rock formation and watch your students “climb” to the other side of your classroom by clapping the rhythms on each rock they step on while choosing their own path up the "cliff" (students can even hold on to/be tied off with ropes as they climb!). Each "rock" nearly fills an 8 1/2" by 11" piece of paper, so they also work wonderfully as rhythm flashcards!
Contains 20 4/4 rhythms, 10 3/4 rhythms, and 10 2/4 rhythms.
Rhythms included are: groupings of 4 sixteenth notes, groupings of 2 eighth notes, quarter notes, quarter rests, half notes, dotted half notes, and whole notes.
