    sol, and so,

(Let me know if you would like to have low ti, low la, or low sol posters and I would be happy to add them to this set!)

    9) Music Word Wall {Music Is the Universal Language}

    - Over 200 word wall cards for the music room. Just print, cut in half, laminate and display to build key music vocabulary.

In my room, I put my word wall on my back cabinet and I separate it by grade level, that way students aren't overwhelmed by looking at all the words at once. I have a header at the top of each cabinet that says the grade level. Some grade levels take up several cabinets. Any grade is responsible for their words and any words that appear on a grade below them (for example, my 3rd graders would know all of their words PLUS the K-2 words). This has been a great way for me to differentiate for them. This is also fun for my kids because as they learn a new word, they get to "steal" it from the grade above them! :)

Another way I have seen word walls used is words grouped in categories or ABC order.

List of words in ABC order included for ease of finding cards.

    10) Music Rules {Posters and Songs} This set contains 2 different versions of my music classroom rules (with kid clip art and just music note clip art) as well as slides of five original songs (one for each rule) set to a folk tune.

    The rules spell out MUSIC!

    M- Make good choices

    U- Use kind words

S- Show respect (in smaller letters it says "to classmates, teacher, and music" - I added the part about respecting the music this year and I can't wait talk about ways we respect the music with my kids - so important!)

    I- Involve yourself

C- Care for room and instruments

Each rule poster has a slide to go with it with a song set to a folk tune. Folk tunes include "A Sailor Went to Sea", "Are You Sleeping/ Bother John", "Hot Cross Buns", "If You're Happy and You Know It", and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."

    11) 2 Bulletin Board Kits:

    - “Connecting Cultures Bulletin Board Set” – Connect folk songs to their country of origin on a world map (map not included). Bulletin board idea: Place a world map in the center of your board and then surround the map with the folk song posters. Use string and a push pin to connect the song with its ethnic origin on the map.

    Songs this poster set include:

    A la Puerta del Cielo

    Ye Toop Doram

    Aquaqua Del-a Omar

    Artza Alinu

    Donkey Riding

    Four White Horses

    Loch Lomond

    The Birch Tree

    and Cindy

    - “My Music Makes Me Feel” – a student input board that gives students the opportunity to draw and list a folk song from their own culture.

    - Due Cut Lettering guide included for both boards- I have counted out how many die cuts of each letter you will need for each board, so you don't have to count out the letters. Don't have die cuts? Print the letter pages and cut them out!

If you purchase this set, I highly recommend getting everything printed on card stock and then laminating.
