Tape 5 lines on your classroom floor using masking tape or painter's tape. Cut each piece of paper here in half and shuffle the cards. Draw them one at a time and have students play a new version of the classic game "Twister" by following the directions on each card. If you have too many students or some who are physically limited, have them "referee" by making sure other students are using the correct lines and spaces. When students make a wrong move or fall over, they are out. Last one standing wins!
For middle school students, I always tape 2 staves and have boys and girls on separate sides of the room.
