The lesson plan is designed into 3 sections
1. Section one is a "Hook"
*The hook is a game where students will listen to the theme song from four movies. Students will then be asked around the room which movie they thought it was, and then be told the answer with the next slide. John Williams was the composer for each movie.
2. Section two is an information over-load of the importance of music in film, how music reacts to what happens in films, and also how music can deceive us in films.
3. Section three of the lesson plan is "The Big Skill".
It is required for you to play a five minute piece of music of your choice (not included). Students then will get in groups of 4 or 5 and create their own skit to the music.
4. Students will be asked to perform their skits for the class to the music that you have provided. Their skits should reflect and react to the music you provide.
