Section 1. Information and Inspiration
Students are shown two videos that provide students with a compelling case of how a great amount of dedication is needed in order to be a musician, and an athlete. Two which are informative animation videos, and two which are inspirational scenes of musicians and athletes in the films "Whiplash" and "Facing The Giants". (There is no swearing in these scenes.)

Section 2. Court Trial Preparation
The slide show is designed as a court trial, where the students will take Musicians and Athletes to court. Students may choose any side they like and have a debate. The slides include opening statements for both sides, providing evidence for both sides, and closing statements for each side. Each slide has timers for you to allow the pacing to stay on track. The court trial proceeds by the following structure:

1. Athletes Require More Dedication Opening Statement

2. Athletes Require More Dedication Evidence

3. Musicians Require More Dedication Opening Statement

4. Musicians Require More Dedication Evidence

5. Both sides engage in discussion

6. Athletes Require More Dedication Closing Statement

7. Musicians Require More Dedication Closing Statement
