Is a great lesson plan to help your students learn and understand the String, Brass, and Woodwind
family by closely examining the difference between them and how they create their sounds.
The Lesson Plan is Divided up into 3 Sections
Students closely examine all the different factors that are in play when it comes to how String Instruments
create their sound. From String Length, Tightness, and to Thickness.
A short video demonstrates many more factors that come into play, and also provides a mini-project your students can engage in that shows them how they can create their own guitar which a few simple materials that can be found in their home.
Section 2, and 3
Run through the same process as Section 1, but Section Two Covers Brass
and Section Three covers the Woodwinds
. Both of these sections also include a mini-lesson video that covers all the mechanics of these types of instruments, and demonstrates a fun way to create your Brass or Woodwind instrument with easy to find home appliances.
