Ever need kids to pair up, but are tired of the usual "pick a pop sickle stick" or "the person next to you" etc.
Here's a fun game which incorporates familiar and unfamiliar names from musical history. Famous pairs in Music.
Hand each student one of the names (cut in strips) and have them find their partner!
Images included in the document for you to display on a music stand or to help students to see who they are.
Have the students gather with their partners in a big circle and have each pair read out loud who they are.
You can have these special pairs share something they liked from the unit of study, or a question about a presentation, or personal questions to deepen students' understanding of eachother.
You can always reference the pairs at a later date and have them do a project on their pair- dress up- play a song by etc.
