This is a great beginning or ending class exercise that touches on many different areas! The students work on coordination, steady beat, counting, moving, and dynamics! Start by shaking the left arm 8 times, then the right, the the left leg, then the right leg! Start from the top with no break in between, but this time count to seven, (and continue down until one!). This challenge is great for helping the kids focus on counting and moving the correct number of times to the rhythm/beat. Try adding dynamics! Start piano(soft) and slowly building to a forte when the kids shake and say, "One! One! One! One"! Enjoy!
