4 Corners is a great PowerPoint music game for reinforcing dynamic vocabulary!
A favorite indoor recess game at my school is "4 Corners."
I've modified the game so that each corner is a dynamic marking.
Instead of having an "it" person, you can just play the embedded audio clip which gives a definition. The students who are in the corner that matches the definition of the dynamic marking are out.
Just repeat this process until there is one player left.
To incorporate a "math" component, the corners are labeled in the same format that quadrants are labeled on a graph.
1. Start timer on slide
2. Each student moves to a corner during the countdown
3. The next slide shows 4 dynamic markings
4. Click on the speaker. It will for instance say "soft."
5. Students in the corner that is marked "piano" are out.
This is a fun, engaging way to review dynamics!
There are enough slides to play the game twice through without restarting the presentation.
