Great resource for students beginning to work on quarter note and eighth note rhythms. Students work together to separate grocery pictures into 1 and 2 sound piles (quarter note and eighth note rhythms). Then students can work together or on their own to create their own grocery rhythm pattern. Take it one step farther and have students play their rhythm creations on an un-pitched percussion instrument.
