Description

Help your students learn and practice copying, extending, and creating patterns using our MUSIC themed patterning activity. It makes teaching sequencing, visual discrimination, positional words, vocabulary, and one-to-one correspondence memorable! This is a great activity for a guided music, literacy, and math center, small student led groups, and independent practice. This is an ENGAGING activity that children will want to play with over and over again as they develop their critical thinking skills!

This pdf file includes 15 music themed pattern boards; 3 each for AB, AAB, ABB, AABB, and ABC patterns. It also includes blank patterns boards for students to extend the patterns included, and to create their own unique patterns. Plus... we've included a list of the 33 instruments, directions for preparation, and ideas for play.

Printing Tip: depending on your printer, you may need to choose “scale to fit paper” so that the edges don’t cut off. Also, you may need to select "US Borderless" to eliminate the white border, if you have this option when printing.
