I know that many schools are using a PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) and mine is no different. I was someone who used the chart and clothespins in my room having kids clip up or down. This year we were asked to do away with those because it showed the negative consequence too publicly. I decided to create mustaches with a number assigned to my students. When they reach I point I plan on having them remove their mustache from the shaving cream and laying it on my desk until I have a chance to talk with them. I am thinking this will be a good reminder for me that I need to have that conversation and when it is done they will be able to add their 'stache' back to the shaving cream. It is my intent to make it very nonchalant to the others, but the person's that I have will know that we have a meeting coming. Feel free to leave feedback on how you might use these!
