Description

Mutations - This senior biology lesson begins with an overview of what a mutation is, then dives into the four main small-scale mutations - missense, nonsense, silent, and frameshift and includes real-life diseases associated with each. The lesson then goes into large-scale mutations, specifically, amplification, chromosomal translocation, and trinucleotide repeat expansion. The presentation concludes by discussing mutagens including what they are and how they can lead to mutations. The lesson is very in-depth and includes many pictures and diagrams so that your students will gain a better understanding of the concepts.
