Use these worksheets to help your students understand root words, prefixes, and suffixes. Students cut and glue the leaf pieces onto the tree in the appropriate places. Prefixes and Suffixes are glued on the branches of their according sides. Root words (or base words) are glued on the ground of the tree.
I've left one blank leaf for each so that you can add your own if you desire. I've done this with my own students and all leaves WILL fit onto the tree. Of course, feel free to pick and choose which ones you'd like your students to use.
For your higher students, I have included a separate page for leaves that are not labeled.
My students were really able to grasp the concept of affixes using something this visual. Each time I referred to affixes I would reference our "tree" and hands would shoot up!
