Synopsis: Imagine that there are about 150 different kinds of ducks! They live in almost all parts of the world and are alike in many ways. Ducks are really awesome animals. You can learn all about them in this nonfiction book.
Children learn and remember by "doing" and being involved in new ideas.
Instead of just reading a non-fiction book, "Ducks" provides an opportunity
for students to interact creatively and produce a book of their own while
learning all the amazing facts about ducks.
There is no parent preparation time required and limited materials are needed; scissors, crayons/markers and a vivid imagination.
Students will have fun while they:
-Learn amazing facts about ducks
-Read and use new vocabulary words
-Have an opportunity for creativity
-Produce a completed book to read, to share with others and to keep as a reinforcement of newly learned ideas
They will proudly read their own creation over and over again.
