Description

Students are often told to "read more" to improve their reading comprehension, but frequently students are overwhelmed by the choices and don't know if they are really understanding the text. These practice passages are longer than a typical SAT passage to improve focus and stamina. They are accompanied by questions and an answer key to verify comprehension.

This package contains the text from Chapter 23 of My Bondage and My Freedom written by Frederick Douglass in 1855. This chapter describes Douglass' experiences working for the abolition movement as a speaker.

This chapter is accompanied with a vocabulary list with contextually based definitions and 12 multiple choice questions. The passage and questions are designed to improve students' reading comprehension and vocabulary in preparation for the SAT or other reading tests such as the ACT, TOEFL, or IELTS.
