PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a set of comprehension activities for "My Brother Sam is Dead" by Christopher Collier and James Lincoln Collier. The majority of the grouping are a Cause and Effect worksheet and a corresponding game. The students may use the chart as they read the text to further reading comprehension or may use it thereafter with the game. Or, the game can just be a review. In addition, there is an answer key for the cause and effect chart and two, additional worksheets which connect "My Brother Sam is Dead" to "1776, Yankee Doodle America by Wendell Minor and "The Story of the Declaration of Independence" by Norman Richards. (There are no answer keys for these sheets as they were created to be reviewed together in open discussion to further understand the American Revolution War for students with little to no knowledge of its history while reading the beginning of "My Brother Sam is Dead".)
