In my Spanish 2 class, we do a basic review of present tense conjugation. I use a starter verb list that features 25 common verbs. I give a quiz over these 25 (must be able to tell the English) but I also use these 25 as our "practice verbs" for conjugation.
After I give a basic quiz of present tense conjugation of regular verbs, I move into stem-changers.
At this point, I want my kids to now FULLY apply their learned concepts and I do this with this project.
I have the students create a fake list of students (Spanish names) and pick activities/verbs that each student does. I make sure my students use the I, you, he/she, we, and they form.
They are allowed to use a collage, PPT, neat boxes on paper or bubbles/circles, a slide show, comic strip style, etc. They get to choose how to display these sentences.
The students are also allowed a variety of options to find pictures, illustrations are included as the grade.
I also make sure the students have their draft checked off before they work on their final project.
Overall, it's a very successful project & truly shows me who can conjugate and who can't.
