This dictionary template is a bit more advanced than the other version as it requires students to write a bit more to expand their conceptual thinking about the vocabulary word they are learning.
This dictionary is a really helpful resource for teachers who want to improve their young students' vocabulary. It is designed as a visual dictionary for English language learners, but it can be used by anyone. The concept uses Cornell Note Taking strategies where the student draws a picture reminder on the right side as well as the foreign language word (if necessary) and the native language word on the left side. The child can review by folding the page, only looking at the picture or the foreign word on the right side, and then peeking at the answer on the left side of the page after they have guessed it correctly. Proven to improve any child's vocabulary!
I usually purchase a clear mini binder for organizing the pages (A5 size), and provide my kids with stickers so they can decorate their dictionaries any way they like.
*Note: The current download is available in Chinese, but if you message me, I can adjust the template to any language.
